Simon Cowell hated himself

Simon Cowell hated himselfAfter viewing the clip in which Susan Boyle was launched into the public spotlight Simon Cowell has admitted he hated watching himself

Speaking to Oprah Winfrey he said that the moment Susan appeared on Britain’s Got Talent it was the necessary wake up call that he needed.

Speaking about his own big ego, he commented that it often got in the way of finding new talent

“When I watched the clip back, I actually hated myself. We’re all sneering, we’re not listening. I didn’t like what I saw. It was a wake-up call, and I was happy she made us look stupid, because we deserved it.”

Simon also went on to say that the reason he wants to launch The X Factor in America is because he enjoys “the buzz” – nothing to do with the big fat pay checks then Simon huh?

“I remember Fantasia singing ‘Summertime’ on American Idol, and for three minutes, I lost myself,” he said. “You want to be part of something people are talking about. I love that feeling.”

Susan Boyle is to appear on the The X Factor on the 22 of November and will sing her debut single ‘Wild Horses’
Susan’s appearance is also timed to help the hit ITV show X Factor win the ratings war against the  BBC One rival Strictly Come Dancing
“We’re going all out to annihilate Strictly this year,” a source said. “These big signings will really help us.
“Simon Cowell is very excited about Susan coming back but wants to make sure she excels. It’s going to be nerve-racking for her being at the very same place where she lost Britain’s Got Talent. The pressure can get to her and he’s decided not to sign another big-name act for that night so everything is focused around her.”
It was also confirmed yesterday that Susan  will be performing on the hit US show Dancing With The Stars.

According to The Mirror, the Britain’s Got Talent runner-up’s performance will coincide with the release of her debut album I Dreamed A Dream.

A show insider said: “It makes perfect sense and will create a big buzz.

“There are two shows to fill on Saturday and Sunday nights now, so they’re also planning guest appearances from previous winners and runners-up as well as celebrity guests.”

X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary earlier this year said that Susan would sing a duet with a mystery performer when she appears on the show later in the year.

There have been rumors that the second week will feature live music from Whitney Houston and show judge Cheryl Cole.

“Susan Boyle changed auditions forever.”

Louis Walsh – I don’t think Susan Boyle can cope

Louis Walsh on Susan Boyle

Louis Walsh on Susan Boyle

Louis Walsh has spoke out and stated that he does not know if Susan Boyle can have a long lasting music career.

The X Factor judge speaking to the Daily Mail said that Susan Boyle might struggle with the trappings of her fame.

Walsh said: “I don’t know if she’s going to have a big, long career. I don’t think she’s able to cope with the pressure.

“People don’t realise that they become public property, and people knock on their doors and their family history is going to come out. It’s 24/7 and you have to be born to do it.”

He added: “She’s got great appeal and she can sing, and people like her. She’ll have a massive album as long as she works and shows up to the recording.

“Simon Cowell has a great record company; she’s got the best machine behind her.”

Susan is planning a number of US concerts ahead of the release of her debut LP.
