Susan Boyle not lonely

- Can Susan make it to meet the Queen?
Britain’s Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle has dismissed reports that she is lonely, says the Daily Star.
The 48-year-old singer, who wowed audiences with her rendition of ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ from Les Misérables, had previously claimed to have “never been married, never been kissed”.
Appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show, she said: “Oh no, I am not lonely. Everyone has been so nice. I’ve got millions of new friends now.”
Boyle made the remark as she was filmed at her home in Blackburn, Scotland, for a special edition of the programme called ‘The World’s Got Talent’, also featuring Talent judge Simon Cowell.
She is also reported to have talked about her belief that she will not win the competition and joked that her cat Pebbles will become a bigger star than she is after being filmed for the show.
The episode will be aired in the US tonight.

Susan Boyle turns down Barack Obama

Susan Boyle has turned down an opportunity to meet US President Barack Obama, according to a report.
The Britain’s Got Talent star was apparently invited to attend the annual Correspondents Dinner in Washington D.C. last night after Obama became a fan of her TV audition.
However, the 48-year-old rejected the offer because she was too nervous to mingle with stars at the prestigious event, it has been claimed.
A source told the News Of The World: “She was shocked and thrilled by the invite – but it was all too much too soon for her so she said no. She has been told President Obama has seen clips of her on TV and loved her singing. And she is delighted.
“But instead she’ll have no doubt stayed in with her cat Pebbles, washed her hair and watched Britain’s Got Talent on telly.”
Boyle’s Talent audition became an internet sensation after it aired on the ITV1 series last month. Her popularity in the US has since led to a planned appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Tour of Susan Boyle’s house
The US chat show host has had the Scottish spinster on her radar ever since her stunning performance on Britain’s Got Talent.
And yesterday she began to make good her promise of featuring the Scot by having a camera team film a day in the surprise singing sensation’s life.
One of the crew, who arrived in a convoy of two cars, confirmed: “We’re here filming an interview for Oprah Winfrey.
“We’ll be here most of the day.”
Susan, who was all smiles yesterday, wore a lemon coloured shirt and black trousers to greet the team and later a gold coloured jersey to guard against the cold with just weeks to go until the semi final of Britain’s Got Talent.
She could be seen ushering them from room to room inside the two level property and a piano being played was heard at one point.

The crew arrived at around 10.30am and only stopped briefly several hour later saying Susan was having “an afternoon nap” while they tried to persuade neighbours to be interviewed on camera.
Later they mocked up a ‘welcome to my house’ scene with Susan ushering the camera crew inside then spent over an hour going from room to room inside.
One onlooker said: “Susan was clearly happy to give the American crew an insight into her life. They seem to have an insatiable appetite to know all about her.”
Simon Cowell has already said that Susan could crack America and top the album charts.
Her appearance on Oprah will be the highlight of a slew of appearances Susan has already made on US television.
Just days after her celebrated performance on Britain’s Got Talent, she was doing the rounds of America’s top morning TV chat shows and even appeared live via satellite link-up on the legendary CNN interviewer Larry King’s show.
CBS presenter Diane Sawyer interviewed Susan for the Early Show, while Kathie Lee Gifford, who hosts NBC’s famous Today Show, burst into tears live on air after Susan’s moving performance.
Susan previously said of Oprah’s interview request: “I might accept the offer if I get the chance.
“She’s quite a lady.”
None of the crew was prepared to say just when the footage will be screened.
