Susan Boyle ‘will be a global superstar’
Simon Cowell has decided to offer a record contract to Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle, according to a report.
The Scottish singer became an overnight sensation after her original audition aired last month, but she eventually lost out to dance troupe Diversity in last night’s final.
Despite the shock result, Boyle is still expected to be snapped up by Cowell’s SyCo record label and work closely with the music mogul over the coming months.
A source told The People: “[Simon] still sees massive potential in Susan and will make her a global superstar. It wouldn’t be surprising if there was a single released before the end of the summer.”
Cowell offered words of support to Boyle after she gave a second performance of Les Miserables number ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ in last night’s episode.
He commented: “Win or lose, you had the guts to come back here tonight, face your critics – and you beat them. Whatever happens, you can walk away from this with your head held high.”
Judge Amanda Holden has previously predicted that Boyle will have “a huge, huge hit” in the future.

Diversity beat Boyle in ‘Talent’ final
Diversity have been voted as the winners of Britain’s Got Talent 2009, beating long-time bookies’ favourite Susan Boyle.
The Essex-based dance troupe, comprising of brothers and friends, triumphed in the live final following a performance which Simon Cowell described as “sheer and utter perfection”.
Speaking after the result was announced by show hosts Ant and Dec, group member and choreographer Ashley Banjo commented: “When you guys said our name, I thought: ‘I’m going to wake up in a minute’.”
The 20-year-old added: “Can I just thank everyone that’s voted – you’ve changed our lives and I can’t actually believe it.”
Scottish singer Boyle, 48, was the competition’s runner-up – despite being favourite to win since the first episode aired. She had earlier performed a rendition of Les Miserables number ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, the song which made her a YouTube sensation following her original audition.
Paying tribute to the winners, she insisted: “The best people won. They’re very entertaining. Lads, I wish you all the best.”
Meanwhile, saxophonist Julian Smith finished in third place after impressing the public with a performance of ‘Somewhere’ from West Side Story.
He revealed: “I’m just happy that I’ve been taking part in tonight and been part of the whole thing. It’s an honour.”
Diversity will now perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Show later this year. They will also receive a cash prize of £100,000.

Amanda Holden says ‘Boyle will have a huge hit’

amanda holden 'Boyle will have a huge hit'
Amanda Holden has predicted a bright future for Susan Boyle ahead of tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent final.
The show’s judge confirmed that she expects Boyle to have a hit record even if she does not win the ITV1 competition.
Boyle’s performance of Les Miserables number ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ at her original audition became a YouTube sensation after it aired in April. She remains the bookies’ favourite to triumph on the programme tonight.
Discussing the star’s chances, Holden told the Daily Record: “We’ve just got to keep being on her side and not assume she’s going to win.”
She added: “I would imagine that whether she wins or loses, she will definitely record ‘I Dreamed A Dream’. I think that that would be a huge, huge hit. It would go platinum.”
Boyle has become a subject of controversy in recent days following reports that she launched into a ‘foul-mouthed outburst’ at the Wembley Plaza Hotel.
Additionally, Lily Allen has described the Scottish singer as “so overrated”, while Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood claimed that she “sucks”.

Susan Boyle Oprah

Susan Boyle Biggest star on planet
The world domination of Scottish singing hopeful Susan Boyle has continued with her first appearance on Oprah.
The Britain’s Got Talent star told chat show queen Oprah Winfrey that the global fanbase achieved through her audition on the show was “like a dream come true”.
Her appearance on the daytime programme, via videolink, accompanied that of Simon Cowell who spoke of his shock over Ms Boyle’s voice.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge said he didn’t have high hopes for Boyle before she opened her mouth.
He told Oprah: “This lady came up, and I’m thinking; ‘This will take five seconds and I can go have a cup of tea.”
That changed when she began to sing I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables.
“She knew we were going to have that reaction and just to see that look of satisfaction on her face midway through – it was one of my favourite moments,” Cowell said.
Speaking from her home in Scotland, Ms Boyle said that despite the attention, she hasn’t succumbed to pressure to radically change her appearance.
She said that her friend helps her with make-up. “I mean, that’s hardly a makeover,” the singing hopeful added.
Ms Boyle also spoke of the reason she first began to explore her vocal talents: “I was kind of slow at school, so getting something like singing was a good way of hiding behind that and so boosting my confidence.”

Susan Boyle’s earliest singing performance on film revealed
The hot favourite to win Britain’s Got Talent took the stage at Motherwell FC’s Fir Park Social Club in a singing contest between locals and visitors from a Midlands club.
Susan was drafted into the Coventry Tam O’Shanter Club’s team because someone had dropped out.
She sang powerful versions of I Don’t Know How To Love Him, from Jesus Christ Superstar, and Barbra Streisand’s The Way We Were.

But the footage of Susan, who was sporting a classic 80s perm, lay forgotten until someone made a connection between the Britain’s Got Talent star and the shy young woman in the social club.
School caretaker Gerry McGuinness, 61, who watched Susan sing live that night and kept the video, remembers it clearly.
But it was a member of his family who recognised Susan on television and suggested he looked for his tape of the occasion.
Gerry said: “I can remember that she was a shy young girl, but also very attractive back then – she turned a few heads when she came into the club.
“She was not even supposed to be singing but agreed to perform for the Tam O’Shanter team because someone had dropped out.
“Even back then, I don’t think anyone expected too much from her because she was so shy, but when she began singing people took notice.
“I watched Susan on Britain’s Got Talent but didn’t recognise her as the girl from my video until a relation called and asked if I still had the tape.”
Gerry, a Scot who now lives in Coventry with wife Ruby, added: “When I realised who it was, I called my son Jamie in Wishaw and told him I was sending up the video.
“It’s great Susan is finally getting some recognition. She is a great singer and it seems right that at some point she would get the credit she deserved.”
Gerry’s son Jamie, who handed the 1984 tape to the Record, said: “It is just amazing that nobody realised what a talent she was until now.
“When you watch the video, it seems so obvious that she was born to be a star.”
Telephone engineer Jamie, 29, who lives in Wishaw with fiancee Suzanne Schonville and children Amy, eight, and Robbie, four, added: “When you first watch it, you can’t believe that it is Susan Boyle.”
The video, which can now be seen on the Daily Record website, is the third recording of Susan to be unearthed by the Record.
Last week, we published a film of her auditioning for Barrymore’s My Kind Of People talent show in 1995 when she was 33. Click here to see the video.
We also found a charity CD from 1999 on which she sang the torch song Cry Me A River. Click here to listen to the song.
Susan, a church volunteer who lives with her cat in Blackburn, West Lothian, became a TV hit when she sang I Dreamed A Dream, from the musical Les Miserables, for her BGT audition.
She has denied reports that she’s set to pack in the ITV show because family and friends reckon she could leave and cash in on her success by bringing out a record or playing live shows.
And she insists her eyes are firmly on the show’s prize of performing at the Royal Variety Performance.
Susan has now been watched on the internet by more than 100 million people around the world and is the biggest hit ever on the video-sharing site YouTube.

The Scottish songbird has been making headlines since she amazed the world with her extraordinary voice and already she has been surrounded by rumors. She reveals, “The most exciting offer so far has been a trip to Hollywood to make a film… There is talk about it… It’s only rumors right now.” Boyle also tells “Extra” she could possibly pop up in the hot seat on ‘Oprah.’ “It’s in the pipeline, but I don’t want to get into it here.”
