Susan Boyle ‘will be a global superstar’
Simon Cowell has decided to offer a record contract to Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle, according to a report.
The Scottish singer became an overnight sensation after her original audition aired last month, but she eventually lost out to dance troupe Diversity in last night’s final.
Despite the shock result, Boyle is still expected to be snapped up by Cowell’s SyCo record label and work closely with the music mogul over the coming months.
A source told The People: “[Simon] still sees massive potential in Susan and will make her a global superstar. It wouldn’t be surprising if there was a single released before the end of the summer.”
Cowell offered words of support to Boyle after she gave a second performance of Les Miserables number ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ in last night’s episode.
He commented: “Win or lose, you had the guts to come back here tonight, face your critics – and you beat them. Whatever happens, you can walk away from this with your head held high.”
Judge Amanda Holden has previously predicted that Boyle will have “a huge, huge hit” in the future.

Simon Cowell offers advice to Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle on Britain's Got Talent
Simon Cowell gave a pep talk to troubled Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle this week, it has emerged.
The show’s judge was reportedly concerned for Boyle after the 48-year-old became “distraught” over the negative press she has received in recent days.
A show insider told the Daily Star: “Simon turned up to see Susan and made the whole thing very low key. She was thrilled to see him. He’s been seriously worried about her, especially in the past few days.
“It’s what any boss would do. He just had a cosy chat with her and made her laugh and assured her everything would be fine and that she needed to blot out all the silliness of this week and just focus on her performance. She’s a lot calmer now and she’s told him that she’s definitely going to be on that stage.”
Cowell confirmed: “This is like a soap opera. I have never known anything like this in my whole career. It’s crazy.”

Susan Boyle moved to safe house

Can Susan make it to meet the Queen?
Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle has been moved to a “safe house” as she prepares for Saturday’s final.
One judge, Piers Morgan, confirmed that she had become so “distraught” at negative media headlines this week that she almost quit the ITV show.
He said the singer from West Lothian was now relaxing with one of her closest friends from Scotland.
A former psychologist for Big Brother said she should be withdrawn from the contest to protect her mental health.
The 48-year-old church volunteer from Blackburn became an international sensation after her performances attracted millions of hits on video sharing websites.
But she is reported to be feeling the pressure, apparently losing her temper with tabloid reporters in the lobby of a hotel in North London. If Britain’s Got Talent was an experiment in any university we would have to draw a line on that experiment
Professor David Wilson
Speaking on BBC Radio, Mr Morgan said he did not believe she would quit the show.
“She had a rocky moment a couple of days ago when she woke up and saw some very negative headlines and suddenly felt the pressure of world attention,” he said.
“You have to remember this is someone who has gone from complete anonymity to global stardom in the space of six weeks.
“It’s understandable. People should give her a bit of slack. She’s 24 hours from the biggest day of her life and she’s starting to feel the heat.”
The former tabloid editor said Ms Boyle had been reduced to tears several times during the week.
Psychological help
He said psychological and medical help was available to contestants, although he could not say if she had asked for such assistance.
“She is very distraught, to the extent where she packed her bags and was going to leave the show,” he said.
“She just didn’t see the point of continuing if every time she picked up the newspapers there was another avalanche of abuse.”
Responding to his comments, Professor David Wilson, a former psychologist for reality TV show Big Brother, said Ms Boyle should be stopped from going into the final.
He said: “I am amazed by the honesty he showed in revealing the depth of how distraught Susan Boyle is.
“If Britain’s Got Talent was an experiment in any university we would have to draw a line on that experiment because ethically we would be putting the person at the heart of that experiment through emotional turmoil.
“It’s a duty of care, it’s about a moral responsibility. The harrowing week that Piers was describing hasn’t been created by the press. The harrowing week has been created by the programme.”

‘Susan Boyle in four-letter rant at cops’

Susan Boyle on Britain's Got Talent
BRITAIN’S Got Talent singing sensation Susan Boyle shocked fans when she turned the air blue during a four-letter rant at cops, it was claimed today.
It was alleged the Scottish Britain’s Got Talent contestant unleashed a volley of abuse at officers who stepped in to diffuse a row at a north London hotel.
Reports claim Susan was intentionally wound up by two men.
And onlookers said they were left stunned as 48-year-old Susan launched a scathing attack on the men.
But when police intervened, the Britain’s Got Talent star allegedly unleashed a volley of abuse before bursting into tears.
It was claimed Susan, the fans’ favourite, from Blackburn, West Lothian, stormed out of the hotel before arguing with police in the car park for several minutes.
Britain’s Got Talent contestants have been staying with friends, family and the production team at the Wembley Plaza Hotel.
It was understood hundreds of people were in the hotel foyer at the time of the alleged incident.
And Paisley McHugh who originally comes from Aberdeen’s Bridge of Don area, is gearing up for her chance to battle for a place in the final with her band Brit Chix.

Susan Boyle denies ‘foul-mouthed outburst’

Susan Boyle on Britain's Got Talent
Susan Boyle has denied swearing at a showing of yesterday’s Britain’s Got Talent semi-final after judge Piers Morgan praised fellow contestant Shaheen Jafargholi on the show.
Morgan told the 12-year-old that his rendition of ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’ from the musical Dreamgirls had been “the best singing performance we have heard in the semi-finals so far”.
Boyle, who was reportedly watching the show with friends in the bar of the Wembley Plaza Hotel, was alleged to have responded by sticking two fingers up at the television and shouting ‘f**k off’, before retreating to her hotel room.
Her outburst was alleged to have been witnessed by about 150 guests at the hotel, with one claiming: “Everyone was stunned by her reaction.”
However, a spokeswoman for the star denied the claims, stating that Boyle had left the bar before Jafargholi’s performance had been shown.
She said: “Susan was in the bar with friends but was getting hassled by a journalist. The four of them left before Shaheen’s live performance to watch it in the room instead.”
Susan Boyle, who won through to the final of Britain’s Got Talent on Sunday, is currently the favourite to win the reality show.

Amanda Holden – Boyle has no longevity

amanda holden
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has said that she doesn’t think contestant Susan Boyle will last.
The Scottish singer is currently the odds-on favourite to win the talent series, however Holden has dismissed suggestions that the final is already decided.
“She’ll be an instant international superstar – but I don’t think she’ll have longevity…She could nail it or kill it on the night. She might not be as good as she was on that first night and people put that performance on a pedestal,” she told the News Of The World.
“I think it can go either way. We’ve built her up and the public could go, ‘She’s too big for her boots, she’s too cocky’. She isn’t. But we don’t like too much success. It’s a shame.”
Holden also criticised pizza delivery man Jamie Pugh for feigning emotion at his first audition.
“He got on my tits. I didn’t think he was genuine. I didn’t believe his emotion and I hated his voice. He sounded like a car starting,” she said.
